Past progressive（过去进行时/过去进行体）：表示在过去某个特定时间正在进行的动作或状态，常用于交代背景、描写持续过程，或与一般过去时对比表示“进行中的动作被打断/同时发生”。常见结构为 was/were + V-ing。也常被称为 past continuous。
